Our Devotions

First Saturday Devotions

This monthly devotion stems from the Blessed Virgin Mary's message to Sister Lucia:

“I promise to assist at the hour of death, with the graces necessary for salvation, all those who, on the first Saturday of five consecutive months go to confession and receive Holy Communion, recite five decades of the Rosary and keep me company for a quarter of an hour while meditating on the mysteries of the Rosary, with the intention of making reparation to me.”

The offences against the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Heart of Her Divine Son have caused Her so much pain that we must make reparation for them. Please strive with all your heart, at this time of great darkness in the world and in the Church, to make reparation to Our Lady's Immaculate Heart by fulfilling Her request of the First Saturday Devotions.

Here are the requirements:

On the first Saturday of five consecutive months:

  • Go to Confession

  • Receive Holy Communion

  • Recite 5 decades of the Holy Rosary

  • Meditate for 15 minutes on the mysteries of the Holy Rosary

Do all of these practices with the intention of making reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Devotion to the Holy Face of Jesus

The devotion to the Holy Face of Jesus is a powerful work of reparation for the blasphemies, irreverence and offences committed against God. It received particular impetus in the nineteenth century through the revelations associated with Sister Marie of St Peter, a Carmelite nun of Tours, who promoted reparation to the Holy Face and the Holy Name. The devotion was later spread by the Venerable Leo Dupont, known as the “Holy Man of Tours,” and devotion to the Holy Face was subsequently encouraged by Pope Leo XIII. Contemplating the Face of Christ disfigured in His Passion calls us to return love for contempt and adoration for blasphemy, uniting our acts of reparation to the sufferings of Our Lord. St Thérèse of Lisieux cherished this devotion so deeply that her full religious name was Sister Thérèse of the Child Jesus and of the Holy Face. By honouring the Holy Face, we seek to console Our Lord, make reparation for the outrages committed against His Divine Majesty, and implore mercy and conversion for sinners and for a world increasingly forgetful of God. According to a prominent apostle of the Holy Face today, Fr. Lawrence Carney, who has appeared on the Radio Immaculata Youtube Channel, the devotion to the Holy Face is especially important in our own times, when many of Our Lord's prophecies are being fulfilled. We would encourage you to consider taking up this important devotion!
